The Brody's double focus--on entertainment and experiment--marks it as
a showcase for both audience-pleasing performances and cutting edge
theatrical presentation.
The Brody school, both a training ground for its own improvisers and a
workshop for actors wishing to broaden their skills, creates at the
theater a vital and vibrant exchange; Saturday night's spontaneous
stage discovery becomes Monday's workshop focus, and vice-versa. This
chemistry is one reason the Brody school counts among its students many
members of other area performance troupes.
We offer a full course of study from beginning level basics through
intermediate study, to advanced performance labs. As an active theater
dedicated to the performance of improvised work, we can offer our
dedicated and committed students stage time in public performance and
the opportunity to fill openings in our permanent troupes. The majority
of current company members came up through the ranks in our school.
