Established in 1948 the Lincoln County Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that collects and preserves artifacts and information about the central Oregon coast and educates the public through exhibits, a research library, and programs. At the Burrows House Museum you will find exhibits on the history of the region and the research library. The library is available by appointment. The Pacific Maritime & Heritage Center is located on Newport's Historic Bayfront (333 SE Bay Blvd.).
