Step into the year 1878 and take a guided experience through an Aurora Christmas, as seen through the eyes of the school master, his students, and other Aurora residents. It’s a time when the Colony was about to see major changes to its way of life, yet the traditional joys of the holiday season

Lanterns light your way through the grounds of the Old Aurora Colony Museum. You’ll move from building to building starting at the Ox Barn, experiencing mini-dramas as you visit the Steinbach log cabin, the tool shed, the wash house and the Kraus House. Return to the barn for hot cider and cookies as you listen to Heartstrings, with Rob and Nancy Downie playing beautiful pioneer music on hammered dulcimer and string bass.
