This exhibit is largely a collection of handmade bobbin lace created by members of the Oregon Trail Lacemakers using traditional methods. The exhibit will also explore the history of lacemaking, and the different ways that lace can be made. There will also be demonstrations of lacemaking throughout the exhibit, as well as take-home crafts and supplies.
The Oregon Trail Lacemakers seek to preserve and expand the enjoyment of the unique art of lacemaking by teaching, practicing, demonstrating, and celebrating lace in historical and contemporary styles.
