8:30 am: Alien Abduction Dash 5K

The Aliens are back, and you can outrun them! Join us for the Alien Abduction Dash 5K starting at 8:30 am at Joe Dancer Park. Costumes encouraged! Registration begins February 14th at 9am. Runners can also sign up at the McMinnville Community Center.

From 2001 to 2020, the two National UFO databases received 169,632 UFO sighting reports. In 2015, Cheryl and Linda Costa set out to measure the scale of UFO phenomena. They carefully compiled and analyzed the data using the science of statistics. They will share the astounding UFO truths they discovered about the U.S., with a focus on Oregon. All ages welcome

McMinnville's downtown streets close to vehicle traffic, so you can shop the out-of-this-world vendors with plenty of fun merchandise and take in the spectacular array of people and aliens wandering this pedestrian zone.

3:30pm: Kids Fun Run

2:45-3:30pm: Sign in

Kids get to kick off the UFO parade with a fun run along the same route! Wear your wackiest alien attire (or not) and join the fun.

Registration for the Kids Fun Run will be at 5th and Galloway from 2:45-3:30pm. Parents/guardians will have to sign a registration/waiver for their child. Ages 2-15. Free

Watch the wildly fun and colorful UFO Costume Parade as it careens and cartwheels through town. Or join the fun yourself!

5pm: Alien Pet Costume Contest

The cutest and kookiest event of the weekend: dogs donning their extraterrestrial best. (Birds, lizards and all other friendly pets welcome too!)
Join the fun with your best bud at the Granary District, a 5-minute walk from Hotel Oregon, immediately following the festival parade.

7-10pm: Kirby Swatosh and The Moon Rock Patrol

Live music from spaced out rock band, Kirby Swatosh & the Moon Rock Patrol!

A child of the NASA generation, Swatosh's catchy pop/rock melodies and clever lyrics introduce a startling original imagination informed by the faith of one whose true musical home might as well be outer space. Despite his affinity for interterrestrial themes, Swatosh's repertoire also includes down-to-earth pop — grounded by a childhood spent listening to The Beatles, Pink Floyd and James Taylor.

Come in costume and show off your dance skills, or just come to gawk at the crazy outfits! You won't believe the lengths to which some of our guests go in fashioning otherworldly ensembles.

Live music from party band Super Secret Band plays from 8:30-11pm.
