Memorial Day

Sisters Veterans will salute the fallen from America’s wars in a traditional commemoration event at the Veterans Memorial in the Village Green City Park.

The annual event is hosted by VFW Post 8138 and American Legion Post 86. It will feature the laying of a wreath, an ROTC honor guard placing the flags, bagpipe music, the playing of “Taps,” and acknowledgment of Sisters veterans who have passed in the last year.

We will serve up hamburgers after the ceremony and invite all community members to gather together at the barbecue shelter at Village Green.
