I always have to stop in when I'm in Prineville. Learn about the fascinating history of Crook County. Range Wars, the founding of Les Schwab Tires, and early day transportation are just some of the many stories you can find here.

Took a toddler and an infant with us. There were enough hands on exhibits for the toddler to stay engaged. We learned a lot and enjoyed having an indoor space the toddler could explore before walking down the street to the brewery for lunch.

I love to look at the exhibits but best of all is being able to browse the bookshelves. Alot of reads about Oregon and they stock my fav author, Jane Kirkpatrick! You don't want to miss a field trip led by Steve Lent. The price to belong to the historical society is low and we'll worth it.
