We enjoyed a wonderful night stay. We rented a motel room that was nicely updated and clean. It had actual fluffy bath towels that were big enough for a real person's body-thank you. WiFi only seems to work close to the lodge, but we went to escape for a night, so not a big deal. The lake was beautiful. People were nice. Staff were friendly. Located inland a bit, so it was much warmer and less windy than along the coast, what a pleasant surprise! We had a great time.

The MUSTY MILDEW SMELL in Cottage C1 was so strong I could not sleep and had a horrible headache! The carpet was disgusting- stains everywhere. Lake was beautiful, but park itself was pretty run down and for the price- a terrible value. The health dept should really do a thorough MOLD inspection. Reported health concerns and never heard back from anyone. "Resort" is not as advertised. 6/21/18 Update: In response to the owners reply, the office was closed when we left in the AM, and no cell service or landline. I sent at least two emails reporting my concerns once we got home, with no response. During our conference call initiated by my bank’s dispute resolution dept, the manager assured me that while they had not yet had a mold inspection or contacted the health dept, they were “looking into the mold issue”, and in no way implied it was seasonal. Before you book this unit, I’d suggest requesting some kind of proof that it passed an inspection.

We stayed over Father’s Day weekend. The motel rooms and cottages are comfortable. Nothing fancy, but just what you need if you want to skip the tent and go glamping. Everyone we met was very kind and helpful from the staff at the lodge, to the staff cleaning the showers. We will stay again!

There are two areas for tent camping, one located by the amenities and the other a half mile away with not much and many of the sites on a slope. It is closer to the store though. there is lake access but down a steep slope and just a dock. Nice to take a dip in. Wifi is only available at main camping area and store not at the more primitive area.
