Powell's Books on Hawthorne is a smaller, more relaxed counterpart to the City of Books, but the store is still big enough to warrant a map. Located in the heart of Southeast Portland two doors down from our Home and Garden store, Powell's Books on Hawthorne covers more than 10,000 square feet of retail space and offers more than 200,000 used and new books. We host lively author readings several times each week in the Tabor Room, and our Kids' Room is a popular family destination for both locals and out-of-towners.
