We at Namasté Vineyards believe that good wine is made in our vineyard which was established between 1980-1983. Our vineyard is located just 15 minutes west of Salem in the heart of Oregon's renowned Willamette Valley. We grow Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir. All of our wines are made with estate grown fruit only. Work in the vineyard is done by hand, focusing on attention to detail, and allowing the fruit to slowly mature to the highest quality.
Once at the winery, the fruit goes through various processes. Our whites: Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Peace are fermented in stainless steel tanks to ensure a bright crisp flavor palette. The Riesling and Gewürztraminer are done in a dry and off-dry food friendly style with the Peace being made for our fans of semi-sweet easy drinking wines. The Chardonnay is fermented in oak barrels as we strive for a beautiful buttery texture.
Our award winning Pinot Noirs are hand-crafted and vineyard designated. The only difference between our Abundance Pinot Noir and our Prosperity Pinot Noir is how the rain, sun, and soil affect each individual vineyard block. All work in the vineyard and aging in the barrel are done exactly the same so each Pinot Noir may showcase its unique terroir directly to the taster. Every year our Reserve Cuvée Pinot Noir is a very limited 50/50 blend of the two main Pinot Noirs aged for 2 years.
