Oregon Electric Railway Museum

Oregon Electric Railway Museum
3995 Brooklake Road NorthEast

The Museum moved from its original location at Trolley Park in Glenwood, Oregon to Brooks, Oregon in 1996. The new museum has been expanding ever since. The new museum had to be built from scratch. Since 1996 we have built well over a mile of track with overhead wire and yard leads, a carbarn with 4 tracks, and an Interpretive Center called Hopmere Station.

Hopmere Station is based on plans of a Southern Pacific Railroad Depot. It is a two story station with a single level attached freight house. For the museum, the downstairs serves as our library, ticket counter and gift shop. The freight house will eventually contain interpretive exhibits about the history of electric railways and streetcars, particularly in Oregon. The upstairs will service as a private quarters for a museum caretaker

Regular Trolley operation occurs on weekends from Memorial Day thru the end of September.
